Precious Life Shelter, founded in 1988, was developed to meet an ever-growing need to provide shelter for homeless women who are pregnant. The program was designed to address the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of women preparing to meet the future  challenges of supporting a family.

We are a shelter, but we are more than that. We are a transitional program that provides a safe environment and hope for the mother and child.

Our programs include the development of life skills: career planning, health and nutrition, education in childbirth and parenting, professional counseling and drug diversion. The goal of Precious Life Shelter is for each woman to regain stability and become self-reliant.
