Rebuilding Together Southern California Council (RT SoCal) is a recognized non profit corporation with 501(C)3 tax status.  The incorporation of RT SoCal in 2004 formalized the ad hoc group representing the Rebuilding Together affiliates in the region which had met regularly since 1995.

Rebuilding Together Southern California’s mission is to assist the individual local RT affiliates in keeping low-income, disabled, and elderly homeowners in their homes in warmth and safety.  An extension of that mission is to forge partnerships with communities, sponsors, donors, and other housing organizations to strengthen each group’s ability to support homeowner housing issues both individually and cooperatively.

This mission promotes collaboration on projects, pursuing region-wide funding opportunities for the affiliates, and facilitating the formation and initial operations of new affiliates. The growth and strengthening of Rebuilding Together will facilitate increasing the number of homes and non-profit community facilities that we repair. The benefit that these repairs – free of charge to the recipients – makes to our low-income communities also benefits the larger community.
