The Alpha Gamma Sigma Honor Society of Golden West College joined Volunteer Network OC in serving our homeless community on Saturday, February 26th at the Crossing Church in Costa Mesa. The students put together sack lunches with turkey and cheese sandwiches and stuffed the bags full of other delicious goodies. In addition, they helped with the distribution of clothes to anyone who needed them. After the event the students reflected on what a positive experience it was to serve those who are in need. They felt as if they were making a difference. I recommended that they suggest to their fellow students to use the VNOC App. to find out about other great opportunities for community service that might fit their schedules.
