Welcome Matthew!

Matthew PlazaVolunteer Network OC is so excited to introduce everyone to Matthew Plaza.  Matthew is our new Community Outreach intern and he will be helping us with projects this summer.  He has already helped us tremendously by using his creativity to create some colorful and eye-catching social media flyers.

Matthew is currently a senior at the University of California, Irvine. He is on track to graduate in June 2021 with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Social Policy and Public Service. He serves as the President of UNICEF at UCI and is also an At Large Senator for the Associated Students-UCI.

Matthew hopes to continue his education with a Master in Public Administration and work in the public sector to better social and community based programs.

When he is not working or studying, Matthew spends his time volunteering with UNICEF at UCI and local social service nonprofits and schools around Orange County.

We are so pleased that Matthew chose to intern with Volunteer Network OC because he shares the same vision of giving back to the community and helping those in need. He appreciates that VNOC brings together members of the community to work with nonprofits organizations that are effective in their work to end hunger and homelessness, among many other issues, in Orange County.

Welcome to the team Matthew!  We are so excited to see what the future holds for you.  Thank you for all you do for the community.  We look forward to working with you.
